Piotr Tusiński – Area Manager for Poland and the Baltic States at GEOxyz
Piotr Tusiński is an experienced Project and Supervising Manager, Marine/Offshore Surveyor, and Plan Approval Engineer with over 20 years of professional experience in the maritime, offshore, and heavy industry sectors. He also holds a 2nd Engineer’s Certificate, supported by seven years of practical experience.
Throughout his career, he has served as Project Manager for major undertakings, including the lengthening of six Finnlines vessels in Poland and the modification of a semi-submersible unit in Baku (Republic of Azerbaijan).
He specializes in Classification Society requirements, IACS regulations, and both national and international standards. He is an expert in internal audits within the heavy and marine industries — including mills, forges, foundries, offshore systems and drilling components manufacturers, and shipyards. As a surveyor, he has been directly involved in nearly all stages of production, including shipbuilding, manufacturing of drilling systems and equipment, and broader industrial processes.
His strongest professional asset is project management, supported by extensive experience, deep knowledge of quality management systems, and practical expertise in project risk assessment.
He possesses a solid educational background and a strong passion for marine engineering, confirmed by his achievement of the International Welding Inspector Certificate. In 2021, he earned his Master’s degree from the Faculty of Management at the University of Business and Administration in Gdynia, majoring in Management and Quality with a specialization in Managerial and Legal Studies.
As Deputy Technical Director at Polferries (a shipowner company), he was responsible for new tonnage investments, which required building relationships with marine brokers, shipowners (in the second-hand market), and shipyard representatives. His comprehensive experience demonstrates strong managerial, technical, and auditing competencies, as well as the ability to successfully lead complex projects in an international environment.
